a twisted leap

hello peeps

it's me again. so borrrring.

just want to say i had fun at IHDC! although judging was rather stressful, because as you know, i am terrible at multitasking. and sometimes when the play had ended, i'll turn to my fellow two judges and go, "huh? that's it?" wish it could go on longer...

i'm also happy to see some of you stayed back to show your support for the Stajers in our class.

leap year day. 29th feb. only comes by every 4 years. so where will you be in 4 years' time?

hopefully still in contact with each other. i think 36 is quite a nice class - nice to each other, but less so to the teachers (ok this is definitely changing so keep it up). yup i mean it's great to see most of you get along with most of you.

A level results definitely out next week. i'm just thinking, this time next year, how would i be feeling? how would YOU be feeling?

let's work hard together, less than ten months left now! after which, you can play until you collapse and i won't say anything, really.

take care everyone. enjoy your weekend.

love,
ms h
ps/ urban lect 2 notes have just been uploaded. pls print a copy for yourself :)

What is the trend you notice in this blog? [2m]

hi people

i noticed a pattern. each time after i post an entry, this blog goes dead. 4 marks for a well-elaborated explanation behind this trend...any takers?

ANYWAY, thank you for the applause at the end of my amateurish movie today. although it was not spontaneous (i heard someone from the amigos gang saying "eh clap leh"), i take it that you like the clip i managed to cobble together. it was my very first attempt so it did cause me some frustration esp when i had to keep referring to the iMovie Help file.

you might have noticed that some 36-ers had more screen time. it was in no way intentional. i tried to capture everyone at action but just as in every successful event, there are people working in the background to make it happen. i could not take photos of anyone standing around looking like they were 'slacking' could i?

that said, i meant it when i said "good job everyone". i AM proud of you.

while the reflection activity today could not be completed on time, and there were tense moments when the problems were highlighted, i thought it went pretty okay. from what you guys wrote, i could see you benefited quite a bit from your participation in SL. more importantly, some of you realised just how lucky you are, discovered your strengths and weaknesses and learnt to be less shy/open yourselves up by talking to 'strangers'.

alright, i shouldn't be posting such a long naggy 'debrief' here because that's what the email is for - guess it's not surprising why i'm being listed as spam?

love,
ms h

thank you

(check out zoe trying to make me shorter)

hello everyone

thank you for singing me the birthday song not once, but three times on monday. the very first time was the biggest surprise because you guys just burst into the song and with such unison.

thank you for the yummylicious choco cake from jack's place. it is with envy that i hear you guys had a most enjoyable lunch, too bad i can't join you. that said, i'm really happy you guys get along so well, with nobody killing anybody during today's debate.

my other classes found out as well and sang me the birthday song too so that's (no) thanks to some of you who put the news out on the gossip grapevine. at last count, i think i heard the song 7x. an all new record!

btw, HOW did you guys realise it was my birthday?

and in case you were wondering why wasn't the cake the biggest surprise...here are the spoilers.

1. you guys decided to send suxin to ask about monday's lecture, which i thought was totally understandable and shouldn't be problem at all (all that videos!)

2. it's quite fishy if suxin doesn't understand ITCZ. AND left it till so late to ask about it.

3. jalene sat next to suxin grinning like a cheshire cat. she never smiles so much during geog consultations.

4. zoe popped up

5. suxin started flipping her notes desperately...

and that's when you all saved her by magically appearing on the steps :)

so thank you once again everyone. all that energy/exuberance from you guys does have its benefits during times like these (and during SL too).

love,
ms h

ps/ yes pls keep this blog alive! have quite forgotten about it ever since it went into hibernation sometime last year.
